Christine MacLennan - Women's Swimming & Diving

Long Beach City College freshman Christine MacLennan was named the South Coast Conference Co-Swimmer of the Year after a three-win performance at the 2012 SCC Championships. MacLennan helped the Vikings total 339 points to finish in sixth place at the conference finals held at Pasadena City College.

MacLennan, originally out of Millikan High School in Long Beach, was a winner in three individual events, earning gold in the 50-yard freestyle (24.60), 50-yard butterfly (27.13), and 100-yard freestyle (53.88). She also teamed with freshmen Jackie Rojas, Carissa Buelna, and sophomore Krysta Fryer to earn a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay.

At the CCCAA State Championships, MacLennan earned an eighth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.91.
