February 6, 2013 Men’s Volleyball: Vikings improve to 3-0 with sweep of San Diego Mesa The defending state champion Long Beach City College men’s volleyball team continued its unbeaten streak to open the season as the Vikings swept visiting San Diego Mesa College on Wednesday night. LBCC won the match by scores of 25-19, 29-27, 25-17 to improve to 3-0 overall.

Freshman starting pitcher Sean Hale was nearly untouchable during the month of March for the Long Beach City College baseball team. The right-hander out of Marina High School went 4-0 during the month, leading the Vikings to wins in all of his starts.
