Under coaches Chris Oeding and Dave Kasa, the Vikings made their eighth trip in 10 years to the state championships.

Freshman starting pitcher Sean Hale was nearly untouchable during the month of March for the Long Beach City College baseball team. The right-hander out of Marina High School went 4-0 during the month, leading the Vikings to wins in all of his starts.
