September 5, 2012 Women’s Volleyball: Vikings take home opener with sweep of Ventura Long Beach City College improved to 2-0 early in the season after its 3-0 sweep of visiting Ventura College on Wednesday at the Viking Gym. Long Beach cruised in its home opener, winning the match by scores of 25-14, 25-10, and 25-15. Celina Yandall led LBCC with 11 kills.

Freshman starting pitcher Sean Hale was nearly untouchable during the month of March for the Long Beach City College baseball team. The right-hander out of Marina High School went 4-0 during the month, leading the Vikings to wins in all of his starts.
