Head Coach and Director of Volleyball Operations Tyler Jackson credited the team's ability to execute their practice points as the spark that shifted the match- "The turning point came when we started applying some of the things we've been working on in practice—blocking, attacking overpasses—and when the girls earned those points and celebrated, it created momentum," Jackson said. "That energy carried onto the court and really strengthened our game."
With the win, Long Beach looks to continue to build momentum on Wednesday, Sept 10, when they host Moorpark College at 6 p.m. in the Hall of Champions.
