Vikings Complete Perfect Conference Run with Sweep of L.A. Harbor
The Vikings ended the regular season in straight sets to secure an unbeaten conference record.
The Long Beach City College women's volleyball team closed out the conference season in dominant fashion, sweeping Los Angeles Harbor in straight sets (25–7, 25–14, 25–10) to finish the year undefeated in South Coast Conference play and 16–8 overall.
The Vikings (8–0 SCC) capped an incredible run that saw them win every conference match in straight sets, not dropping a single set all season.
In their regular-season finale, Long Beach was sharp on both sides of the ball, hitting an impressive .397 as a team and tallying 19 service aces. Isabella Salgado led the charge with nine kills, seven digs, and four aces, while Nyla Hankins added seven kills and ten digs. Marissa Krebs dominated at the net with six kills on a perfect hitting percentage and three blocks, and setters Emeli Muagututi'a and Camille Agrupis combined for 28 assists to keep the offense in rhythm.
Defensively, the Vikings held the Seahawks to just ten points in the final set, sealing their seventh consecutive sweep of the conference season.
The victory not only cements Long Beach's perfect conference record but also provides momentum heading into postseason play. The Vikings will return to action on Friday, November 22, at 6 p.m. with their playoff opponent to be determined.
