The Long Beach City College women's soccer team continued its dominant start to the season with a 2–0 victory over El Camino on Friday afternoon.
The Vikings (10–1-0, 2–0-0 conference) controlled the ball from the opening whistle, converting early pressure into a first-half lead. Sophomore midfielder Jocelyn Aquino opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a penalty kick goal, giving Long Beach the early advantage.
In the second half, freshman midfielder Laila Alfadhiel sealed the result with a composed finish in the 78th minute to make it 2–0. The Vikings outshot El Camino 10–6, keeping consistent pressure on the Warriors' defense throughout the match.
Goalkeeper Mary Valenzuela earned her fifth shutout of the season, recording two saves as the Vikings' backline held El Camino to just two shots on goal.
