The No. 14 women's basketball team fell to the No. 19 Allan Hancock College Bulldogs 70-66 on Wednesday evening in the Hall of Champions. With the loss, the Vikings finish the 2019-20 season with a 20-9 overall record.
The Bulldogs were ready for action as they came out on top 17-15 in the first quarter, then they outscored the Vikings 15-10 in the second quarter to lead 32-25. The Vikings powered through the third quarter, but then the Bulldogs held on to the lead in the fourth quarter and ultimately took home the 70-66 win.
Sophomore guard Isabel Lizarraga was a major key to the Vikings offense and she led the team with 25 points and had seven rebounds. Freshman guard Donavion Huskey was a constant threat to the Bulldogs as she put up 16 points and had ten rebounds and three assists. Freshman point Ivori Scott reounded out the top performances with the doube-double of 11 rebounds and 11 points.
The Vikings will return again next season.
