The Long Beach City College men's water polo team cruised to a commanding 25-3 win over Rio Hondo on Wednesday, showcasing offensive firepower across the roster.
Leading the way was Aidan Sepulveda, who netted a game-high five goals while adding two steals. Christian Salinas contributed three goals and two assists, while Michael Trujillo also poured in three scores to fuel the Vikings' offensive rhythm. Luka Zivaljevic and Nicolas Lara each chipped in two goals apiece, and Ivan Cubelic made an impact with both a goal and an assist.
The Vikings' defense was just as sharp, recording 15 steals as a team. Jackson Ross anchored the defensive effort with a team-high four steals, while goalkeepers Mauricio Bonilla and Charlie Kresser each posted four saves in their quarters of action. Ethan Gebhardt added eight saves over two quarters.
With the victory, the Vikings continue their momentum and turn their focus to the Cuesta Tournament this weekend, where they'll face a tough Golden West squad.
