In a tense and hard-fought match, the Long Beach men's soccer team faced a challenging battle against Cuyamaca in the third round of playoffs, ultimately succumbing to a tight 2-1 defeat.
Right from the start, Long Beach got ahead with a goal from Jose Mariscal to the top left corner with the assist from Carlos Atilano to put the Vikings ahead 1-0.
The Coyotes were able to capitalize off of a critical moment for the Vikings and tie the game 1-1 leading into halftime.
In the second half, the Coyotes scored one more off a second-chance ball to take the lead 2-1.
