Don Menke (Tennis, 1947-48): Menke was a standout on two top-ranked LBCC teams. In 1948, he teamed with John Fleitz to win a National Junior College doubles championship. He went on to play at the University of California (Berkeley) in 1950. 32 years later, Menke won the Long Beach City Open Doubles Championship in 1982. In 1994, he won a bronze medal in racquetball singles at the National Senior Olympics.
