Vikings edge Victor Valley on the road 5-4 for second win

The Long Beach City College women's tennis team picked up its second win of the season, defeating Victor Valley College 5-4 in a South Coast Conference match in Victorville on Tuesday.
Long Beach is 2-6 overall as well as 2-6 in SCC play with both wins coming from Victor Valley.
Freshman Dolores Cervantez was double-winner for the Vikings. At No. 2 singles, she defeated Page Jones 6-1, 6-1 and at No. 1 doubles she teamed with freshman Marianne Tigas to beat Katie Brown and Alexis Mariano 8-3.
Freshman Judith Aguilar was a 6-3, 6-0 winner over Brown at No. 3 singles and won her No. 3 doubles match with freshman Janine Garcia by default.
Long Beach returns to action on Thursday (Mar 20) when it hosts Cerritos College in a 2 p.m. SCC match.
