LBCC Dominates Conference Awards with Standout Swim & Dive Performances
The Long Beach City College (LBCC) swim and dive teams made waves at the South Coast Conference (SCC) championships with standout performances and multiple postseason honors, including major individual and coaching awards.
Freshman diver Louis Hackett was named the SCC Men's Diving Athlete of the Year after earning the conference title on the 1-meter board with a score of 129.15. On the women's side, Lilia McAllister also captured gold on the 1-meter with an impressive 162.20, continuing LBCC's dominance in the diving events.
Head Diving Coach Shane Butler was recognized for his leadership and excellence, earning Men's Diving Coach of the Year. Assistant Coach Rachel Fattal, a decorated Olympian and key member of the Vikings' coaching staff, was honored as Assistant Coach of the Year for her outstanding contributions to the program.
In the pool, sophomore Nathaniel D'Alosio delivered two stellar performances, earning All-Conference honors in both butterfly events. He won the 100-yard butterfly in 50.23 and followed that up with a commanding victory in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:50.49.
With championship-caliber performances and a collection of postseason awards, the Vikings continue to raise the bar in the South Coast Conference.
