The Long Beach City College Cross Country teams had a strong showing at the South Coast Conference Championships.
Women's Team – 2nd Place Overall
The women's team delivered another impressive performance, placing 2nd overall in the team standings. Sophomore Itzel Aguilar led the way with a standout 5K time of 19:12.2, earning All-Conference honors. Teammate Nikie Costa also claimed All-Conference recognition with a strong 19:49.8 finish. Rounding out the Lady Vikings' top five were Cristal Martinez-Gasper (20:57.2), April Molina (21:01.0), and Belen Verduzco (21:39.5), helping secure the team's runner-up finish.
Men's Team – Tied for 5th Place Overall
The men's team battled through a competitive field, finishing in a tie for 5th place with El Camino College. Sophomore Jamari Gibson led the way with a strong 4-mile time of 22:22.9, followed by Ethan Garcia (22:43.5), Sebastian Pardo Sandoval (23:08.5), Jack Madden (23:51.7), and Noel Rivas (24:08.7) rounding out the Vikings' scoring positions.

Looking Ahead
Both teams are expected for the SoCal Regional Championships, to be held next Friday 11/7 at NTC Park in San Diego. The women's team advances automatically, while the men's team awaits confirmation of an at-large bid following their consistent performances throughout the season.
