The No. 5 Long Beach City College men's volleyball team secured a crucial conference victory, edging out No. 4 Moorpark College 3-2 (25-17, 25-14, 21-25, 21-25, 15-12). With the win, the Vikings improve to 7-1 in Western State Conference play, avenging their previous 3-1 loss to Moorpark on Feb. 27.
Setter Willy Wang orchestrated the offense with 49 assists while adding three aces and four digs. Outside hitter Bryce Bowsher led the attack with a dominant 21-kill performance, while outside hitter Alden Jacobs contributed 17 kills on a .375 hitting percentage and tallied six digs.
The Vikings return to action on Wednesday, March 26, at 6 p.m. against Piece College in the Hall of Champions.
