No. 1 Vikings Sweep Santa Monica Corsairs

The No.1 Long Beach City College Vikings swept the Santa Monica College Corsairs 3-0 on Wednesday night in the Building Q Gym. With the win, the Vikings advance to 11-1 overall and are perfect in the Western State Conference with a 4-0 record.

Sophomore outside hitter Kyler Tufuga took a stand against the Corsairs and held a .778 kill percentage, and had seven assists and nine digs.

Freshman outside hitter Nicholas Sanford was a huge offensive asset for the Vikings as he led the team with three service aces. Freshman outside hitter Erik Sanford also assisted to the Vikings' offense with six kills and five digs.  

The Vikings will be back in action on Friday Mar. 13 at Santa Barbara City College at 6 p.m.
