The Long Beach City College men's soccer team came up short on the road, falling 2-0 to San Bernardino Valley on Friday.
Goalkeeper Fabio Ardizzoia tallied two saves while playing the full 90 minutes in goal for the Vikings. Offensively, Cesar Garcia Solorzano recorded the team's lone shot on goal, while Jordi Pineda, Asael Sales, and Jiro Uchida each added shot attempts as Long Beach pushed for opportunities.
Defensively, the Vikings battled throughout the match, with Andrew Zevallos, Asael Sales, and Aaron Hernandez each picking up yellow cards in a physical contest.
The Vikings will look to bounce back at home on Tuesday, Sept. 23, when they host San Diego City at 5 p.m.
