The Long Beach City College football team's sophomore kicker Agustin Delgadillo, sophomore defensive back Deion Williams, sophomore defensive back Cross Poyer, sophomore offensive lineman Steven Almada, sophomore cornerback Jeremiah Houston, and sophomore defensive lineman Xavier Robinson signed their national letters of intent to further their athletic and academic careers on Wednesday, May 29th.
Delgadillo signs his letter of intent to further his career at Western Colorado University. Delgadillo totaled 55 points this season and was near perfect 97% at PATs. The Western Colorado University Mountaineers compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference at the NCAA Division II level.
Williams will be attending Ottawa University in Kansas. Williams had 15 tackles this season and five assists and averaged 1.9 tackles per game. Williams will be a great asset to Ottawa University.
Robinson will also continue his career at Ottawa University in Kansas with his fellow teammates. Robinson was a great defensive asset on the field this past year for the Vikings.
Poyer will be furthering his career at the University of Nevada in the Fall. Poyer earned All-Conference First-Team accolades this season. Poyer lead the team with 38 assists and held 64 total tackles during season. The Wolf Pack competes in the Mountain West Conference at the NCAA Division I level.
Almada will be attending Long Island University (LIU). Almada received All-Conference Second-Team for his contribution to the offensive line. Almada was a great leader this season and will bring his strong physicality to LIU. LIU competes in the Northeast Conference at the NCAA I level.
Houston will be attending University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) this upcoming Fall season. He also received All-Conference Second-Team honors for his fierceness on the field. Houston had 33 tackles and led the team with three interceptions. UNLV competes in the Mountain West Conference at the NCAA Division I level.
