Long Beach City College Launches 2025 Summer Esports Camps for Ages 8-15
Hands-On Gaming and Esports Media Experience Offered in Three Themed Camps
Long Beach City College (LBCC) is excited to announce the return of its highly anticipated 2025 LBCC Esports Summer Camps, offering three immersive, themed camp sessions for youth ages 8 to 15. Hosted at LBCC's state-of-the-art Esports Lab, these camps provide a unique opportunity for young gamers and digital creators to explore the world of competitive gaming and esports production.
Each camp runs from Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and is designed to teach fundamental skills, teamwork, strategy, and digital media literacy in a fun and structured environment.
�� Camp Schedule:
- Camp #1: Valorant & League of Legends
June 30 – July 3
Players will dive into team-based gameplay, learning communication, strategy, and game mechanics in two of the most popular competitive titles: Valorant and League of Legends.
- Camp #2: Rocket League, Fortnite, Super Smash Bros & Marvel Rivals
July 7 – July 10
Campers will rotate through a variety of exciting titles, including Rocket League, Fortnite, Super Smash Bros, and the new team brawler Marvel Rivals, focusing on adaptability, fast reflexes, and friendly competition.
- Camp #3: Esports Media
July 14 – July 17
This non-competitive camp will introduce students to the world behind the screen, including shoutcasting, streaming, video editing, and content creation. Perfect for aspiring esports broadcasters, social media producers, and digital storytellers.
All experience levels are welcome. Campers will work alongside experienced LBCC Esports coaches and student-athletes in a safe and inclusive environment that encourages learning, creativity, and sportsmanship.
