Women’s Volleyball: Vikings take home opener with sweep of Ventura
Long Beach City College improved to 2-0 early in the season after its 3-0 sweep of visiting Ventura College on Wednesday at the Viking Gym. Long Beach cruised in its home opener, winning the match by scores of 25-14, 25-10, and 25-15. Celina Yandall led LBCC with 11 kills.

The Long Beach City College women’s volleyball team is returning to the postseason after a one-year absence. On Sunday, the Vikings were awarded the No. 15 seed for the upcoming 2010 Southern California Regional Playoffs. LBCC is making its fourth postseason appearance in five years.
