Women’s Volleyball: Long Beach returns home to sweep L.A. Harbor
The Long Beach City College women’s volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 South Coast Conference win over visiting Los Angeles Harbor College on Friday night at LBCC.

The Vikings, who returned home after playing eight straight matches on the road, won by scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-17 to improve to 8-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play. L.A. Harbor fell to 4-4 and 1-4 in the SCC.
Sophomore outside hitter Ceci Cisneros led the Vikings with eight kills and added five digs. Sophomore setter Cashmere Santos totaled 14 assists, and sophomore libero Megann Capic had a match-high 19 digs.
Sophomore middle blocker Audris Leiataua, playing in her first home match of the season, posted six blocks and six digs.
"It was nice to be back at home playing a match in front of our fans," said coach Telia Robertson. "It was great to bounce back from a tough loss on Wednesday with a good team effort tonight."
Long Beach is 3-0 at home this season and following Wednesday night's (Oct. 20) SCC contest at Cerritos, the Vikings will play five straight matches at their familiar court. LBCC begins the long homestead next Friday (Oct. 22) against Pasadena.
