Men’s Cross Country: Vikings finish 22nd at SoCals, Fierros advances to state
The Long Beach City College men’s cross country team totaled 549 points to finish in 22nd place out of 28 teams at the 2010 Southern California Championships at Mission Bay Park in San Diego on Saturday.

Leading the way for the Vikings was freshman Anthony Fierros. He cleared the four-mile course with a time of 22:28 to finish in 70th place.

The season ends for the Vikings as a team, but with his 70th place finish, Fierros will advance as an individual to the CCCAA Cross Country State Championships on November 20 at Woodward Park in Fresno.
San Bernardino Valley won the team title at the SoCal regionals with 61 points and David Cardona was the individual winner with a time of 20:22.
